Organic Cordyceps Militaris Extract has been used for centuries in China and India as a traditional medicinal mushroom. The mushroom has traditionally been used to replenish the kidney and liver, for respiratory issues, and as a remedy for fatigue. In recent years it has increasingly gained popularity in America and Europe as an elixir for energy.
Today the cordyceps mushrooms are cultivated in controlled environments. Besides allowing us to meet the demand, it also ensures the mushrooms does not contain arsenic, like some of the wild mushrooms.
Cordyceps extract contains mainly polysaccharides, which are composed of mannose, adenosine, galactose, arabinose, xylose, glucose, galactose, mannitol, and sorbose. It also contains the phytosterol ergosterol, which is a cell membrane lipid, the immunoregulatory ingredient cordycepin, and cordycepic acid. It contains a fair amount of the vitamins E, K, B1, B2, B12, along with minerals, such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganase, copper, and zinc.
