KAD is more stable to light, heat, pH and oxidation, and it does not react with metal ions compared to plain kojic acid. KAD can also be used to make a soap by first dissolving it in oily base (e.g. mineral oil, propylene glycol or isopropyl myristate) and then adding to the soap.
